Fast National ratings for Sunday, August 29, 2010
The 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards scored big for NBC, although not as well as it did a year before -- at least according to early estimates. Once the final numbers are in, that may change, but until then we'll tell you what data we have. The three-hour telecast hosted by Jimmy Fallon averaged 10.5 million viewers, a 6.6 rating/11 share in households and a 3.1 rating among the 18-49 demo. This is significantly down from 2009's 13.5 million and 4.2 demo number.
Nevertheless, this is still good enough for NBC to lead in the ratings race. Second place went to FOX with 7.7 million and a 4.6/8, followed by CBS (6.6 million, 4.2/7) and ABC (4.1 million, 2.6/4).
In the adult demo, FOX's 2.9 rating wasn't far behind NBC. CBS had a 1.7 and ABC scraped by with a 1.1.
