Welcome to LawLaw Land! This new Law & Order spin-off drops the gavel in L.A. with a pair of movie stars — Alfred Molina and Terrence Howard — headlining the cast.
"When this came up, it was a dream come true, a chance to work on a show with a wonderful history and with a creative energy that is still very relevant," says veteran film actor Molina. Molina, the onetime villain Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2, plays deputy district attorney Ricardo Morales, one of two DDAs who appear in alternating episodes (Howard plays the other, Jonah Dekker).
"Morales is rather flawed," Molina says. "He's the first generation of his family to go to college and has grown up with a great deal of pressure from his parents to do better. It's given him a certain kind of chip on his shoulder." One that Dekker doesn't carry. "These are two men who are dedicated to their jobs but who come at them from different angles," says Molina, who looks forward to sharing screen time with Howard despite their split schedules. "It would make sense — since we work in the same building!"
