"Homicide" and "Oz" exec producers Tom Fontana and Barry Levinson are back at Fox, where they're developing the cop drama "Chameleon."
The crime procedural, described as "a modern-day Don Quixote tale," centers on a cop goes missing for weeks, only to return a changed and delusional man — much to the chagrin of his partner.
Fontana and Levinson will exec produce the hour-long drama; Warner Bros. TV is the studio.
Fontana and Levinson last exec produced 2004's short-lived "The Jury" for Fox. Fontana's currently behind Canal Plus' version of "The Borgias," which has not yet landed a U.S. outlet. In primetime, Fontana and Levinson were most recently behind NBC's "The Philanthropist."
