It does seem like something of a no-brainer, but paperwork has derailed plenty of great things in life.
At least AMC is finally saying that "Mad Men" will return for a fifth season, nearly three months after the Season 4 finale.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Jan. 7, AMC president Joel Stillerman says, "'Mad Men' is definitely coming back for season 5, but don't ask me when, because we're not sure yet."
Maybe we don't want to know. With contracts between AMC, Lionsgate TV and creator Matthew Weiner all still unsigned, and the cast's options reportedly expired at the end of 2010, confidence from the suits is just what we need right now.
