The "American Idol" Season 10 exit music has been announced and it is Season 7 winner David Cook covering Simple Minds' "Don't You (Forget About Me)," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The song was recorded in February and fans who preorder Cook's soon-to-be-released second album can access the track for free starting Thursday (March 3) via David Cook's official website.

We think it sounds pretty great, it's fun as a rock song, and isn't quite so on point as a song with the lyrics, "I'm going home."
