{alltv} Ashley Judd Book Shockers! Actress Recounts Sexual Abuse and Family Drug Use

Ashley Judd's spilling all on her famous family.

The gorgeous actress—whose mother is country legend Naomi Judd and sister is singer Wynonna—is talking about growing up with the two in a scandalous new memoir called All That Is Bitter and Sweet.

And Judd's not holding anything back, revealing some real shockers—like sexual abuse and chronic drug use by her caregivers—in a book that is being labeled "the story of [her] awakening."

Judd drops some real family bombs in the book, released today with excerpts leaked on Radar Online, about a childhood filled with neglect, abuse and deep depression.

Her famous country crooning mom, who rose to stardom while Judd was growing up, is just the start of what made for a majorly dysfunctional home, claims the actress.

"My mother, while she was transforming herself into the country legend Naomi Judd, created an origin myth for the Judds that did not match my reality," the actress writes. "I loved my mother, but at the same time I dreaded the mayhem and uncertainty that followed her everywhere. I often felt like an outsider observing my mom's life as she followed her own dreams."

Judd sums up the whole family dynamic as "dysfunctional."

"She and my sister [Wynonna] have been quoted as saying that our family put the 'fun' in dysfunction. I wondered: 'Who, exactly, was having all the fun? What was I missing?'" Judd wrote.

The Kiss the Girls star, 42, also alleges she was neglected and exposed to chronic drug use, saying she was convinced it was "normal" for a long time.

"I was taught to believe that our lifestyle was normal and never to question it or complain, even when I was left alone for hours, sometimes days at a time, or when I was passed without warning to yet another relative," she writes. "There was always marijuana inside the house."

Judd's father, Michael Ciminella, a different man than her sister Wynonna's dad, spent his weekends taking hallucinogenics with pals, she says.

In the book, Judd also says an older man sexually molested her in a pizza place when she was a young girl.

"An old man everyone knew beckoned me into a dark, empty corner of the business and offered me a quarter for the pinball machine at the pizza place if I'd sit on his lap," Judd wrote. "He opened his arms, I climbed up, and I was shocked when he suddenly cinched his arms around me, squeezing me and smothering my mouth with him jabbing his tongue deep into my mouth."

The incident led Judd into a deep depression.

Judd called on some heavyweight friends like Morgan Freeman and Madeleine Albright and a slew of New York Times best-selling authors for glowing book reviews.

Not praising the memoir? Judd's family. Seems there's been a rift between Ashley and her sister and mom, who appeared on Oprah's talk show. It was revealed on Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes on OWN that Ashley had declined an invite to join them.
