"Dancing With the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy suffered an injury a few seconds into his performance with Kirstie Alley Monday night (April 4) -- but it didn't end up costing them much on the scoreboard.
Chmerkovskiy was in a crouch with his right leg extended when he fell to the floor, bringing Alley down on top of him. They got up and continued, though, and though he grimaced several times, they finished their rumba routine without a hitch, earning praise from the judges for the post-stumble quality of the dance.
They ended up with a score of 21, which almost certainly would have been higher had the fall not happened.
"My thigh just gave out," Maks said afterward. "... It happens, muscle strains and all that. It had nothing to do with [Alley]. I just want to apologize."
The fall occurs about 22 seconds into the video above. What did you think of how Kirstie and Maks recovered, and did they deserve their score?
