Charlie Sheen's longtime friend Daniel Baldwin fears the fired sitcom star is heading for tragedy if he doesn't seek help.
Top experts have suggested the actor is in the midst of a hypermanic episode as he tours the U.S. with his oddball one-man theatre show, and both celebrity counsellors Dr. Drew Pinsky and Blake Levine insist Sheen needs professional help to avoid a breakdown following the public bust-up with Two and a Half Men producers, which cost him his job on the show.
And Baldwin, who has battled his own substance abuse demons in the past, has now gone public with his concerns.
In an upcoming episode of E! True Hollywood Story series, dedicated to Sheen, the Mulholland Falls star says, "I think the chances of Charlie injuring himself or someone else are pretty high. There are people openly talking about (how he) will he die soon. Knowing Charlie, probably not. But does that mean that someone else isn't gonna get injured or die or something else horrible isn't gonna happen?
"When I watch what's happening with Charlie right now, I'm very, very sad. This is someone that I've known for almost 25 years. Such a public disintegration is very difficult to watch."
The Sheen E! True Hollywood Story, which airs in the U.S. later this week, also features comments by Bret Michaels and one-time Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss, who used to supply the actor with hookers.
