May 13 is the date Canadians will get Shania Twain's answer to the question, "Why not?"
That's when Twain's new six-part reality-documentary series Why Not? with Shania Twain debuts on the Canadian version of the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Twain's show debuts five days earlier on OWN in the United States.
"Canada has always been my home and a source for inspiration," Twain said in a media release. "I am thrilled to share my story with Canadian audiences and honoured to have this chapter of my life on OWN."
The series focuses on the country music star as she embarks on a journey to rediscover her personal and musical strength following the controversial breakup of her marriage.
Twain also has intimate one-on-one conversations with music-industry legends such as Gladys Knight, Lionel Richie and David Foster, who provide guidance and inspiration as Twain seeks to reclaim her voice.
The debut of Why Not? with Shania Twain comes mere days after the scheduled release of Twain's memoir, From This Moment On.
