With a release date and a nifty promo and poster recently revealed, expectations for the upcoming Starz co-production of BBC's "Torchwood," "Miracle Day," are decidedly high.
And if all that isn't enough for you, the project is reportedly getting more of two of our favorite things: sex and money.
Deadline reports the budget for the 10-part season is triple what is has been for the first three seasons in the U.K., with a lot of that money going to special effects and large-scale stunts.
Star John Barrowman points to the season's opening scene, involving a helicopter crash, as an example of the grander scale. "If we were in Wales shooting, we might not have had that, or we would have had to re-write the sequence," he says. "The stunt work is unbelievable. I used to do quite a lot of stunts, except if it was jumping off of buildings, but now I'm not allowed to because of the insurance policy. I'm much more valuable in America."
Barrowman is a little more cryptic about his character's bisexual antics. "Jack will have his little dabblings, and the audience will get exactly what they want," he says. "And I had a lot of fun doing it."
