As "Torchwood: Miracle Day" writer Jane Espenson teased, her frequent collaborator Eliza Dushku will headline the upcoming digital companion to the Starz series.
"Torchwood: Web of Lies," a 10-part motion comic, will explore a side story to the events of "Miracle Day." Dushku voices the lead character, Holly Mokri, joining series stars John Barrowman and Eve Myles who are also on board for the project.
But "Web of Lies" isn't just a motion comic. Sold through an app, the narrative also features interactive game-play. ITunes will have the first installment for free, before the premiere, after which the remaining episodes will be available at three-for-$0.99 or $2.99 for the complete package. Updates will be available every week after their corresponding episodes of the series.
There's no details on what the extra storyline entails, but Starz says it "ties into and extends plot developments of the show, as well as providing new twists in its own narrative."
"Torchwood: Miracle Day" makes its Starz debut on July 8.
