Comedy Central is infecting its airwaves with viral videos for another season.
The cable network has renewed its web-centric show Tosh.0 for a 26-episode fourth season to debut in January 2012, it was announced Tuesday. Tosh.0 is Comedy Central's most-watched and highest-rated series, averaging 4.2 million viewers in its current third season. In its 10/9c Tuesday-night time slot, it's also tops among Men 18-34 and 18-24.
"Daniel [Tosh] is still trying to figure out what his show is and we thought it would only be right to give him another season to work it out, especially since so many millions of people are watching it," Kent Alterman, Comedy Central's head of original programming and production, said in a statement.
Tosh.0 and other Internet tastemakers are credited with popularizing YouTube sensation Rebecca Black and her song "Friday."
