No, it's not a reality show.
Charlie Sheen has a premise for his next TV project -- a comedy based on the 2003 movie "Anger Management," TMZ reports. He'd be playing a character modeled on Jack Nicholson's role in the movie, an unorthodox anger-management therapist with a short fuse himself.
Now Sheen just needs to close a reported deal with Lionsgate, have a writer come on board to pen a script and find an outlet to air it, and he'll be back on the air. Lionsgate has declined comment.
On Tuesday (July 5), Sheen hinted that the new TV project would be based on a movie produced by Joe Roth ("Alice in Wonderland," "Knight and Day") with the initials "A.M." Roth's Revolution Studios produced "Anger Management," which also starred Adam Sandler.
Sheen will next be seen on TV as the subject of a Comedy Central roast set to air Sept. 19, the same night his former show, "Two and a Half Men," returns to CBS.
