Newly single Nicky Hilton had a girls' night out with Ashlee Simpson in LA this week. A spy said the two huddled in a corner and chatted about Simpson's new beau, actor Vincent Piazza, at a Sunset Marquis launch for jewelry line Lia Sophia. The event was also attended by Nicky's sister Paris, mom Kathy and aunt Kyle Richards. Nicky and Ashlee then partied at the Chateau Marmont. We reported yesterday that Nicky has split with longtime boyfriend David Katzenberg, a creator of MTV's "The Hard Times of RJ Berger," who has launched KatzSmith Prods.
