Does it seem like first lady Michelle Obama has appeared on network TV shows more than any other first lady?
She's already been on Sesame Street and Nickelodeon's iCarly. This week, she makes an appearance on ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, as part of her signature Joining Forces initiative to support military families.
On Thursday, she'll join the makeover team and the Marshall family to help build a new "Jubilee House" in Fayetteville, N.C., to provide homeless female veterans with housing and support services.
Working with her will be Barbara Marshall, a 15-year Navy veteran who created the Steps-N-Stages Jubilee House program to help end homelessness among women vets. Alas, reporters won't be able to see Obama swinging any hammers; the event is closed to the press. But the episode will air in October.
