Comic actor Jay Mohr is suiting up for NBC's cop drama Prime Suspect.
Mohr will be in the show's first season in a guest appearance that could turn into a recurring role. He'll play slick New York City assistant district attorney John Bullock — a man considered good at his job, though not exactly on the same wavelength as Maria Bello's Jane Timoney (but will he wear a hat?).
Mohr most recently starred in the CBS sitcom Gary Unmarried, and before that, was in The Ghost Whisperer for a couple years, and is still remembered for his breakout role in Jerry Maguire. NBC's Prime Suspect premieres on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 10 p.m. Here's NBC's four-minute preview of the show:
