According to a new tweet from MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee, he was just offered a spot on the next season of "Dancing With The Stars", a reality show which airs on ABC in the United States and CTV in Canada. Lee writes, "I've never hit the PASS button so quick."

"Dancing With The Stars" is the American version of the British BBC television series "Strictly Come Dancing". Each contestant pair consists of a celebrity and a professional dancer. Each couple performs predetermined dances and competes against the others for judges' points and audience votes. Whichever couple receives the lowest combined total of judges points and audience votes is eliminated until the champion dance pair remains.

It was announced in March that Tommy Lee was developing an investigative travel show for the Syfy network. Dubbed "Culture Shock with Tommy Lee", the unscripted series will star Lee as he attempts to uncover various rituals, symbols, and other mysteries of secret societies. Lee will immerse himself in the history of each society, meet with former members and participate in their ceremonies.

"This is the first show that I've been a part of that will blow our minds and reveal things that will explain almost all our questions," Lee said. "I'm very excited to be partnering with Syfy on this show. It's going to be an amazing experience for all involved."

The series, which will feature one-hour episodes, is produced by ITV Studios America.

Lee previously starred in NBC's six-episode run of "Tommy Lee Goes to College" in 2004, in which he attended the University of Nebraska and tried out for the school's marching band.

MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil and pro-skate partner Jennifer Wester became the second pair to be eliminated from ABC's "Skating With The Stars" reality show last December after receiving the lowest combined judges' scores and audience vote.

"Skating With The Stars" was previously described as "Dancing With The Stars" on ice and came from the same producers.

FOZZY singer and WWE wrestling superstar Chris Jericho was among the celebrities who appeared on the most recent season of "Dancing With The Stars".
