Fast National ratings for Sunday, July 31, 2011
"Big Brother" and "60 Minutes" carried CBS to a ratings win Sunday night, while "The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All" special delivered better-than-usual numbers for ABC (albeit not super-impressive in the grand scheme of things).
CBS averaged 6.6 million viewers and a 4.1 rating/7 share in households for the night, finishing a good distance ahead of ABC (5 million, 3.2/6). NBC (3.8 million, 2.4/4) came in third overall, while FOX (3.1 million, 1.7/3) took fourth in viewers.
"Big Brother" also gave CBS the lead among adults 18-49 -- the network scored a 1.6 rating in primetime. FOX was a close second at 1.5. ABC drew a 1.3 in the demographic, and NBC trailed with a 0.8.
