Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011
The results show for "America's Got Talent" got a decent-sized bump over last week in leading NBC to an across-the-board ratings win Wednesday night. "Big Brother" dipped a little, and not many people seemed to notice the premiere of "Buried Treasure" on FOX.
NBC drew 7.3 million viewers and a 4.4 rating/7 share in households for the night, topping CBS (6.3 million, 4.1/7) by about a million viewers. ABC (4.2 million, 2.8/5) finished third. FOX took fourth with 3.05 million viewers and a 1.9/3, while The CW trailed with 1 million viewers and a 0.7/1.
NBC also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.0 rating. CBS wasn't far behind with a 1.8. ABC snagged third place with a 1.4, while neither FOX (0.9) nor The CW (0.4) could get above the 1.0 mark.
