NEW YORK – Even if he's no longer around, Frank Sinatra can still intimidate.
Three of the five "American Idol' contestants had trouble interpreting the crooner's biggest hits on Tuesday's show, even with the encouragement, arrangements and piano playing of Harry Connick Jr.
Judge Simon Cowell said Texas rocker Casey James seemed embarrassed to be on stage singing Sinatra's "Blue Skies," and James later admitted to being uncomfortable. The "Idol" judges also had harsh evaluations for Aaron Kelly and Crystal Bowersox.
New Yorker Michael Lynche scored with a soulful version of "The Way You Look Tonight," however. And the judges loved Lee Dewyze's interpretation of "That's Life."
