Sorry this is going up so late, there were some DVR issues. But here we are with the "Bachelor Pad" recap.

Triple Elimination
If you missed the first 20 minutes, never fear -- the evening of the guys and girls was completely anticlimactic and boring. Instead of having some kind of competition between the remaining seven girls, they just let the guys pick. So even though they interviewed the guys and pretended like they were really hemming and hawing over their choice, it turned out exactly how you expected. Kiptyn picked Tenley, Kovacs picks Elizabeth, Jesse B. picked Peyton and Dave picked Natalie. Lame. The only interesting thing is now they are competing as couples.

Competition
Kovacs and Elizabeth are convinced the competition will be a how-you-know-your-partner type thing. And it turns out Kovacs knows a lot about Elizabeth and Elizabeth can't remember s*** about Kovacs. God, she is dumb. Sorry, but she is.

Meanwhile, Peyton is not that excited about her partner. They just really are not a good match -- Jesse B. really only picked her because he knows her slightly better than the other three girls (Gwen, Ashley and Nikki).

Except the competition turns out to be a water balloon toss. You get three breaks before you're out. The first three rounds are fine, but on round four Jesse B. and Peyton get eliminated. Jesse doesn't make the best throws and Peyton drops them all.

Now it hardly matters who wins because you know Jesse B. and Peyton are the ones in trouble. Tenley and Kiptyn (or "Kipten") are out next and then Elizabeth and Kovacs are out. Elizabeth, of course, only blames herself because she's like a crazy abused woman with him.

So Dave and Natalie win and when they go on a date, Natalie is working on Dave to get rid of Kovacs and Elizabeth, because Tenley rightly pointed out to Natalie that Kovacs and Elizabeth have known each other the longest and are a formidable opponent for the money.

Starry, Starry Night
When the yellow Lamborghini arrives for the date, Elizabeth and Kovacs make out in the driver's seat and on the trunk and it's gross. Elizabeth is clearly back to being the crazy, needy girlfriend and Kovacs says she's "got a bad case of Kovacs." No, that's probably herpes that she has a bad case of, dude.

Dave and Natalie take off on their date and Dave drives the car "like [he] stole it." Except it looks like neither of them are wearing seatbelts! And Natalie remarks that this is maybe a glimpse of their life together and I wonder if that means "dying in a fiery car crash." Geez, idiots. Seatbelts!

They drive up to a cliff and Dave takes pin-up pictures of Natalie with the car. Yeah, that sounds about right. Their dinner is at some castle from Jason's season and the talk turns to their families. Dave and his dad had a falling out and Dave feels like he can't call his dad again. Aw, that sucks.

Natalie brings up who they should eliminate and Dave is set on getting out Jesse B./Peyton, but Natalie is pushing for Elizabeth/Kovacs. We don't find out what conclusion they reach.

Back at the Double-F Ranch
Kovacs and Elizabeth sneak into the Fantasy Suite for some sexy time. This should end well. Predictably, she brings up being "in love" and "making love" and they get hot and heavy, but then Elizabeth is like, 'I don't see you going out of your way to do romantic things for me" and whine, whine, whine, blahblahblah manipulationcakes.

Meanwhile, Tenley crept up there to see what is going on and she reports back that "the lights are on [in the Fantasy Suite] and it smells good." I highly doubt that it smells good, but whatever trips your trigger, Tens.

In the morning, Kovacs realizes he needs to play her crazypants game in order to move forward in the game. Heh.

Speaking of playing the game, Natalie is working hard to get Kovacs and Elizabeth out. Tenley and Kiptyn seem open to it, but Dave is really digging his heels in.

Luckily, the votes are individual and not as a couple. Excellent. Send Crazypants and Kovacs home.

The Vote

As soon as Chris Harrison explains that, Tenley tips her hand a bit by saying she could go in there and do something totally different than what she told Kiptyn she was doing. Dave remarks that that would "be stupid," which is kind of a sneak peek into his "don't cross me, woman" mentality, methinks.

It really all comes down to whether Tenley can get Kiptyn to vote with their alliance to send home Kovacs and Elizabeth. Jesse talks to Kiptyn about it and Kiptyn admits that sending Jesse B. and Peyton home is not the strategic play. Jesse also promises Kiptyn that if Kiptyn saves them, he won't vote for Kiptyn ever.

Seeing Kiptyn and Jesse talking raises a red flag with Kovacs, who "just realized" he and Elizabeth are a target. I hope the two of them don't have kids, they would probably be a little slow. And a little crazy.

Rose Ceremony
There's actually some suspense this week, but I'm going to predict it's Elizabeth and Kovacs heading home. Kiptyn wouldn't force a tie and he knows how Natalie and Tenley are voting. The roses go to Dave and Natalie (already had them), Kiptyn and Tenley (duh) and then ... Elizabeth and Kovacs.

Aw man, this show tricked me!  It made it look all suspenseful and then Tenley and Natalie totally caved. Weak.

Next week: Some "Dancing With the Stars" cross-promotion.
