The fight with a female backup dancer that ultimately sent Demi Lovato to rehab has been described by a source as a "short, physical altercation" that was "one-sided."
Now reports are circulating on the Internet that the alleged target was Alex Welch, a dancer on The Jonas Brothers tour who goes by the nickname "BGirl Shorty."
A photo also emerged on the site OceanUp.com of Welch sporting what appears to be a bruise around her left eye. The picture shows her sitting next to Nick Jonas and two other women at an apparent Halloween party.
Reps for Lovato and Welch declined to comment.
Welch, who was raised in Salt Lake City, is a member of the Beat Freaks, an all-female dance crew from Los Angeles. The group was featured on MTV's America's Best Dance Crew and finished Season 3 as runners-up.
