Actor David Arquette checked himself into a rehab facility over the New Year's weekend, according to a U.S. report.
The Scream star revealed in October he had separated from wife Courteney Cox after 11 years of marriage and subsequently confessed he had been drinking heavily since the split.
Arquette was forced to deny reports he was suffering from a nervous breakdown after making a joke about having a meltdown.
But now the actor has checked himself into a live-in facility to seek treatment for alcohol and other issues, according to TMZ.com.
A source tells the website Arquette partied at Los Angeles' Roosevelt Hotel on New Year's Eve before deciding to enter the facility because it was "the right thing to do for his family."
