Football and Glee make an odd but healthy mix, according to Jane Lynch.
Lynch, of course, plays Sue Sylvester on Glee, which has the coveted post-Super Bowl time slot Sunday on Fox.
"Football is very masculine and, to me anyway, a metaphor for war," Lynch said.
"You know, you have your air game and your ground game.
"But then you have these light-in-your-loafers guys - and I'm talking about even the straight guys - singing and dancing (on Glee). I think it's a terrific world we live in and I love seeing these two things come together."
In Canada, the post-Super Bowl episode of Glee also will air on Global, even though it's CTV that has Canadian rights to the Super Bowl.
Lynch was asked if Sue gets to be especially mean for the post-Super Bowl episode.
"She does," said Lynch, excitedly. "We're kind of doing an episode of Glee that's on steroids."
Hey, just like the players!
