We expected more from Chris Jericho. The past few weeks, the WWE star totally stepped up his dance moves, winning praise from the surprised judges. On Monday's (April 25) "Dancing with the Stars," though, he couldn't even tie with Kirstie Alley.
Was it the tango that tripped Jericho up? Maybe Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" didn't lend itself to the kind of passion and intensity needed to pull off the steps? Or was it partner Cheryl Burke -- was the chemistry, as judge Len Goodman suggested, totally absent? Or was it the costumes -- described by one colleage as "trash bags"?
We're guessing all of the above contributed to the lackluster performance.
"You turned into a lump of granite in this tango," said Bruno Tonioli. "I still believe you have talent. This night didn't happen for you."
"I feel like the pressure got to you this week," chimed in Carrie Ann Inaba. "I think you're not having fun this week. It wasn't exciting and it wasn't passionate."
Before their score -- 22, the lowest of the night -- was revealed, Jericho admitted he may have made some false moves, saying "[It] might not have been my best performance."
