Katie Couric is worried Prince Harry might be a bad influence on her daughter. Ahead of anchoring CBS' coverage of the royal wedding yesterday, the anchor told us, "My daughter, Ellie, is in college and has a crush on Harry. She thinks he's hot. Clearly she likes bad boys. I am going to have to talk to her about that."
But Couric predicted good girl Kate Middleton is set for a warm reception in the States. "Kate seems like an all-American girl, and I think people can relate to her," she said. "I have been talking to our British contributors about how the wedding is viewed in England and how snobby some people can be calling her a 'commoner.' A girl like Kate would be so celebrated in the States . . . people don't want somebody born with a silver spoon in her mouth, Kate is intelligent and from a good family." Couric said she's stocked up on wedding souvenirs, including royal-themed tea bags from Whittards and "cheesy T-shirts and William and Kate playing cards" for her staff and family.
