All three remaining American Idol finalists went home over the weekend, but Scotty McCreery got an extra surprise during his visit to Garner, N.C.
Thousands of Scotty's fans -- many of whom call themselves "McCreerians" -- greeted him at Garner's Lake Benson Park. And, shortly after Scotty began what he calls his "theme song" -- Your Man (aka "Baby Lock Them Doors") -- he turned around and saw the man that made the song a hit on stage with him.
"Thanks for singing my songs," Josh said afterward, to which Scotty responded, "Thank you for singing them first!"

The song the judges picked for Scotty to sing this week was revealed during the visit: He'll perform Kenny Rogers' 1979 country crossover hit She Believes in Me, along with a tune of his own choice and one picked by Jimmy Iovine.
Scotty also got to throw out the first pitch at a sold-out baseball game between the North Carolina State Wolfpack and the Florida State Seminoles, then attended the Garner Magnet High School prom. The Garner News website has a photo gallery from the day.
By the way, Scotty's by far the favorite to win American Idol this season, according to online betting site Bodog.com. His odds to win at 1:2, with both Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart at 7:2
