Touted as the evening's only sure thing in the acting categories, Jane Lynch's supporting actress Emmy win for "Glee" was no less exciting when it went down.
The actress has been cruising under the comedic radar for years, with smaller roles in film ("Best in Show," "Role Models") and TV ("Party Down." "Two and a Half Men"), so half the fun of "Glee's" breakthrough first season was seeing Lynch on our TV every week.
Thankfully, her hilarity translated to her acceptance speech, which, while including thoughtful shout-outs to creator Ryan Murphy and her new wife, had its share of Sue Sylvester-esque barbs. Best of all? Her take on her co-stars.
"And to my cast," she says. "You're young and you're wonderful and fresh faced, and when I'm not seething with jealousy I'm so proud of you."
Don't be too jealous, Jane. We're not seeing Lea Michele walk home with any statuettes.
