Philosophically speaking, there's really no need for the People's Choice Awards, since there are multiple versions of them every week.
In TV, they're called the ratings.
In music, they're called the sales and download stats.
In movies, they're called the box office reports.
But then again, Queen Latifah doesn't preside over those announcements every week, right?
Latifah will host the 37th annual People's Choice Awards, which take place Wednesday in Los Angeles and air on CBS and Global.
Among those tentatively scheduled to attend are Justin Bieber, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Zac Efron, Carrie Underwood, Steve Carell, Neil Patrick Harris, Malin Akerman, Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Teri Hatcher, Ashton Kutcher, Hugh Laurie, Conan O'Brien, Leighton Meester and, of course, the Kardashians.
Also on TV Wednesday, if you haven't been watching the funny rookie sitcom Raising Hope on Fox, now you have a chance to catch up from the beginning, as Global has acquired the series. If you ever laughed at Malcolm in the Middle or My Name is Earl, you should check out Raising Hope, because it's right up your alley.
