Charlie Sheen won't be going back to work on Two and a Half Men next week after all.
CBS and Warner Bros. Television announced Thursday that production on the sitcom will shut down for the rest of the season. News arrives following Sheen's rant on the Alex Jones Show radio program earlier Thursday morning, in which he bashed Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre.
"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season," CBS said in a statement.
Following Sheen's at-home rehab, the actor's rep said he was planning on returning to set next week. During Thursday's radio interview, however, Sheen took aim at Lorre, calling him a "clown" and "charlatan." The radio rant also included deragatory statements about women and Alcoholics Anonymous.
Are you surprised by the decision?
