Spoiler alert: McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) won't be in prison for all of Season 2 of "Hawaii Five-0."
So, OK, you probably had figured that already. The photo above does, in fact, show McGarrett incarcerated, complete with orange jumpsuit, in the premiere episode, "Ha'i'ole" ("Unbreakable"). But considering that the network has already released photos of McGarrett out in the field, it's not a big leap to say Steve will be back in action by episode 2.
CBS also released an episode description for the premiere on Thursday (Aug. 19). It reads: "While McGarrett sits in prison awaiting trial for the murder of the governor, Danny [Scott Caan] brings him a surprise visitor to help clear him. Meanwhile, Kono [Grace Park] is suspended for the force, pending an internal investigation."
We're guessing the "surprise visitor" is Terry O'Quinn's character, Steve's former SEAL instructor. He's listed in the guest cast, along with the new governor (Richard T. Jones). William Sadler will also return as McGarrett's dad, presumably in a flashback.
The second episode will feature Lauren German as Lori Weston, a new addition to Five-0. Several shots from that episode, "Ua Lawe Wale," are below, and may we say we kind of can't wait for Danny on horseback.
"Hawaii Five-0" kicks off its second season on Monday, Sept. 19.
