"Pretty Little Liars" has almost reached its summer finale and we found out Thursday (Aug. 18) that a familiar face would be popping back up in Rosewood - Officer Wilden (Bryce Johnson).
Wilden is back for the finale, airing Tuesday, Aug. 30. The episode description says, "'A' sends [the liars] on a hunt to destroy lives in order to save another, in 'Over My Dead Body.'"
We spoke with "Pretty Little Liars" executive producer Marlene King about it and at the news publicity stills had been released of Officer Wilden in the finale, she exclaimed, "Oh, I can't believe they released that! [laughs]."
But King continues, "He is back in the finale. I'm not going to say what he's doing or how he's back, but he is back."
We mentioned that we liked Johnson's short-lived FOX show "Lonestar," but we were glad to see his return to Rosewood. King echoes those sentiments.
"I loved ['Lonestar'] too, I thougth for sure that was going to make a go of it, but their loss is our gain. We're thrilled to have him back. Wilden and Garrett on the Rosewood police force are sort of the dynamic duo," says King.
And will we see Officer Wilden in the back-half of Season 2?
"I hope so," teases King.
"Pretty Little Liars" airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family. We love how dirty the liars are in these publicity shots! What have they been up to?
